Instead use fresh or dried stevia leaves,add 5-7 leaves/cup while boiling tea..stevia leaves can also be boiled,50g in 2 litres of water on medium flame till it becomes 1.5litres..cool &strain..discard leaves &keep sweetened liquid in fridge in capped bottle..add 1 tsp at a time in tea etc.

SIDE-EFFECTS:-it was banned by USFDA in 1990 due to toxicology reports.Allowed in 2008 to be used in coca-cola.its mildly genotoxic,causes nausea when used in excess.gives feeling of fullness.reduces fertility &testosterone.though safe in pregnancy &useful in gestational diabetes.
